The TCOS Minidriver/Card Module is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. The TCOS Card Module integrates TCOS Smartcards into the Windows® operating system via the Microsoft® Key Storage Provider, or in older versions, via the Smartcard BaseCSP. The Microsoft® Key Storage Provider and Smartcard BaseCSP require a PCSC-compliant card reader connection. For example, the TCOS 4.0 IDKey Card can be elegantly integrated and personalized in the Microsoft® Identity Lifecycle Management system via the TCOS Minidriver/Card Module. The driver libraries from Telekom, as the software publisher, have been digitally signed by Microsoft®. The driver for the TCOS 4.0 IDKey Card is available from Windows® 11 via Windows-Autoupdate.com.
In environments where access to Windowsupdate.com is not permitted, the corresponding installation packages can be used from the download area, which are also signed.
For managing TCOS smart cards, CardManager.net is available. It supports the administration of certificates and PINs. With CardManager.net, the default PIN (smart card in delivery condition) can be personalized with a custom PIN, and an existing PIN2 can be reset using a known sequence of digits, allowing you to use PIN2's PUK functionality later on.
In addition, CardManager.net displays detailed information about the smart card, such as card type, card number, PIN status, and available memory. We offer the software for Windows® 11 both as a standard version and as a portable version for installation on workstations where installers cannot be executed.
The TCOS Securetoken driver integrates the TCOS Smartcard into the MacOS operating system and provides the functionality of the TCOS Smartcards via the TCOS Securetoken driver in applications such as Microsoft® Office and Adobe® Reader.
TCOSNetkeyPlusTokenApp*.dmg supports the NetkeyPlus application on the TCOS 4.0 IDKey Card.
