Product discontinuation TCOS 3.0

Dear customers,

over the past few months and quarters, you have no doubt followed the extensive media reports on the supply situation in the microchip market. This situation also specifically affects our products. Unfortunately, we are no longer receiving the requested production quantities in the manufacturing technology required for these products.

We are therefore unfortunately forced to switch to the next TCOS version 4.0 at an earlier date than we would have chosen ourselves.

Of course, we will do our utmost to find solutions together with our customers. Unfortunately, however, this is not solely in our hands; we are dependent on our supplier.

Therefore, we are only able to deliver the existing contingent of the affected card types while stocks last.

Due to the discontinuation of the chip product P5CD080 from chip manufacturer NXP, we are also forced to discontinue our following products with immediate effect:

This applies to both contact-only and dual-interface cards.

As a successor product, our TCOS 4.0 card is currently in the start-up phase, meaning that this product is expected to be available from February 2024.

In case you need support with switching from TCOS 3.0 to TCOS 4.0 cards we will be happy to provide you with documentation and, from the end of January 2024, also with test cards.
